New Orleans, LA – February 23, 2017 –Hunt Telecommunications, LLC (“Hunt”), a leading provider of data transport to K–12 schools and government agencies with a dense network of 140,000 fiber strand miles and 2,600 fiber route miles in Louisiana, has signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by Communications Sales & Leasing, Inc. (now renamed Uniti Group Inc.)  for initial consideration of $170 million in cash and equity plus additional contingent equity consideration upon the achievement of certain operational and financial milestones.

Legacy Capital served as Hunt’s exclusive financial advisor in connection with the transaction while Baldwin Haspel Burke and Mayer, LLC and Nowalsky & Gothard, APLLC acted as Hunt’s legal advisors.

The acquisition is expected to close during the third quarter of 2017 and is subject to customary closing conditions.
