NEW YORK, N.Y., FEBRUARY 10, 2003 – Towers Perrin, the global, New York-based management, human resource and administration consulting firm, has acquired Texas-based Delphi Consultants, a highly focused service provider specializing in implementing the SAP human resource module. The acquisition will enhance Towers Perrin’s ability to deliver the full spectrum of HR administration and technology services to its clients.
“This move expands Towers Perrin’s capabilities in the SAP HR arena,” said Steven Fein, Managing Director for Towers Perrin HR Delivery Solutions. “SAP’s market share is significant among our clients, and the Delphi acquisition furthers our goal of offering a complete menu of options to create optimal HR service delivery for them. We can help organizations set strategic HR technology direction as well as implement successful technology systems and solutions. This also complements last year’s acquisition of Working Concepts, which gave us expertise in PeopleSoft implementations.”
Delphi Consultants is a good fit for Towers Perrin, according to Fein. “Delphi’s focus on HR applications is consistent with Towers Perrin’s technology strategy,” noted Fein. “Delphi has strong HR technology capabilities and a sterling reputation operating under the leadership of John Pask, Kurt Schmidt and their team. We’re very pleased to have them become a part of Towers Perrin.”
Delphi Managing Partners John Pask and Kurt Schmidt also expressed enthusiasm with the firm’s sale, citing several anticipated benefits to the company they founded. “Companies that are familiar with Delphi’s reputation know that we have some of the most qualified people in the SAP HR field,” said Pask. “By combining Delphi’s extensive knowledge of the SAP HR module and Towers Perrin’s thought leadership and deep HR process knowledge, we expect to expand the Delphi client base as well as grow our HR delivery capabilities for our clients.”
“Bringing together two highly recognized leaders in the HR arena, Towers Perrin and Delphi, as well as our complementary strengths, will enable Delphi’s highly experienced team to continue to enhance the value we bring to our clients,” noted Schmidt.
